Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales report

The Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kansas, Jan. 4, reported estimated receipts of 2,500 head selling as of 1 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kansas.

This is the first sale of the new year. Feeder steers and heifers 650 to 1000 pounds were selling firm with a higher undertone noted on a light supply of medium and large frame 1.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 650 to 700 lbs., 154.00 to 161.50; 700 to 750 lbs., 153.00 to 155.00; 67 head, value added 158.25; 750 to 800 lbs., 150.00 to 154.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 148.10 to 148.25, 50 head, value added 824 lbs., 155.00; 850 to 900 lbs., 148.00 to 153.25; 900 to 950 lbs, 146.00 to 151.25; 950 to 1000 lbs., 144.85 to 146.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 650 to 700 lbs., 157.50 to 161.50; package 749 lbs., 153.00 750 to 800 lbs., 150.00 to 154.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 148.10 to 145.25, package 824 lbs., value added 155.00; 850 to 900 lbs., 148.00 to 153.25; 900 to 950 lbs., 146.00 to 151.25.
