Kansas State University Department of Agricultural Economics and Ford County K-State Research and Extension have teamed up to put together an informational meeting to give those involved in the agricultural industry an insight on some proposed changes as the 2018 farm bill is being debated.
The Feb. 28 meeting begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 800 Frontview, Dodge City, Kansas. The program begins at 9 a.m. and includes a lunch at noon. The program will conclude at 2:30 p.m.
It is important that growers educate themselves on proposed changes to programs and possible economic conditions that could affect their operations in the upcoming years, organizers say.
The registration fee is $20 and people can register at www.agmanager.info or by contacting the Ford County Extension office at 620-227-4542. Reservation deadline is Feb. 20.
