OKC West Livestock auction report
The OKC West Livestock, El Reno, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 1,250 head selling on Feb. 27, compared to 9,958 head a week ago and 13,955 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steer and heifer calves very lightly tested but were trading with a much higher undertone for very light weight calves under 400 pounds, over 400 were selling mostly $3 to $5 higher. Demand was good to very good as recent moisture has came across the trade area bringing much needed relief. The feeder cattle supply included 59% steers, 37% heifers and 4% bulls. The feeder cattle supply over 600 pounds was 29%.

Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 489 lbs., 175.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 170.00 to 174.00; 662 lbs., 141.00. Medium and large frame 2, 400 to 500 lbs., 157.00 to 162.00; 580 lbs., 160.00, 593 lbs., fleshy 159.00.
