According to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, Delta Regional Field Office, Arkansas, there were 1.9 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending March 11. Subsoil moisture supplies were 0 percent very short, 4 percent short, 47 percent adequate, and 49 percent surplus. Low temperatures ranged from 27.9 degrees Fahrenheit at Calico Rock to 43.6 degrees Fahrenheit at Des Arc. Highs ranged from 56.1 degrees Fahrenheit at Lead Hill to 68.0 degrees Fahrenheit at Eudora. Most of the state received some precipitation, with the highest concentration occurring in the southeast part of the state with an average of 1.61 inches.
