Tulia Livestock Auction report

The Tulia Livestock Auction, Inc., Tulia, Texas, reported receipts of 4,241 head selling on April 19, compared to 4,059 head a week ago and 3,500 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas.

Compared to a week ago, feeder steers and heifers were selling mostly steady. Trade was active on very good demand. Slaughter cows and bulls made up less than 1%, 0% replacements and 99% feeders. Feeder supply consisted of 45% steers and bulls, 55% heifers. Nearly 81% of the run weighed over 600 pounds.
