Light precipitation received

According to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, Delta Regional Field Office, Arkansas, there were 6.4 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending July 29. Topsoil moisture supplies were 21 percent very short, 46 percent short, 31 percent adequate, and 2 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies were 17 percent very short, 47 percent short, 36 percent adequate, and 0 percent surplus. Low temperatures ranged from 61.0 degrees Fahrenheit at Calico Rock to 72.9 degrees Fahrenheit at Hot Springs. Highs ranged from 83.3 degrees Fahrenheit at Kingston to 98.0 degrees Fahrenheit at Crossett. Light precipitation was received throughout the state, with the highest concentration occurring in the east central part of the state with an average of 0.79 inch.
