Moderate to heavy precipitation received

There were 4.2 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sept. 9, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, Delta Regional Field Office, Arkansas. Topsoil moisture supplies were 1 percent very short, 8 percent short, 75 percent adequate, and 16 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies were 2 percent very short, 18 percent short, 70 percent adequate, and 10 percent surplus. Low temperatures ranged from 63.4 degrees Fahrenheit at Kingston to 73.1 degrees Fahrenheit at Subiaco. Highs ranged from 78.9 degrees Fahrenheit at Kingston to 91.0 degrees Fahrenheit at Ashdown. Moderate to heavy precipitation was received throughout the state, with the highest concentration occurring in the southeast part of the State with an average of 3.07 inches.
