Seminar to cover economic impact of controlling cattle parasites

Area farmers and ranchers, plan on attending a beef cattle parasite seminar and dinner Oct. 4 at 6 p.m., sponsored by Bayer Animal Health.  This seminar is being hosted by the Canadian County OSU Cooperative Extension Service and the Canadian County Cattlemen’s Association. The seminar will be held Oct. 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Canadian County Fair Grounds Education Building, 220 N. Country Club Rd., El Reno, Oklahoma.

Dr. David Gartrell Pugh is a nationally recognized research expert in beef cattle parasite research. Pugh has held faculty positions at the University of Georgia and Auburn University, owned a large animal practice in Georgia, has been a consulting veterinarian for Fort Dodge Animal Health and Pfizer Animal Health, project veterinarian and Director of Farm Operations for the AU Equine Source Plasma Project, and is currently director of the Al Vet Diagnostic Lab System.
