AgriLife Extension to present grazing lease meeting Oct. 8 in Claude
Producers from throughout the Texas Panhandle are invited to a Grazing Lease Meeting Oct. 8 in Claude hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Armstrong County.
Tiffany Dowell Lashmet, AgriLife Extension agricultural law specialist in Amarillo, will be the guest speaker, and provide attendees with information on the following topics:
- Why leases need to be put in writing.
- How much should land owners charge/tenants pay for leases?
- Tips for key terms to include in a grazing lease.
The meeting is free and registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. The program will begin at 9 a.m. in the Armstrong County Activities Center, 901 Hurley St. Breakfast will be provided. Advanced registration by Oct. 5 is requested to the AgriLife Extension Armstrong County office at 806-410-1296 for planning purposes.
