Lexington livestock market report

The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Nebraska, reported receipts of 1,516 head selling on Sept. 28, compared to 3,082 head on Sept. 14, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney Nebraska.

Compared to the Sept. 14 sale, heifers over 750 pounds were selling steady to $5 higher. Demand was good from the buyers in the crowd with internet activity noticed. The calf and feeder supply included 66% heifers with nearly 87% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
