Moderate to heavy precipitation received (Arkansas)

According to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, Delta Regional Field Office, Arkansas, there were 3.3 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Oct. 21. Subsoil moisture supplies were 1 percent very short, 8 percent short, 67 percent adequate, and 24 percent surplus. Low temperatures ranged from 37.0 degrees Fahrenheit at Pocahontas to 53.2 degrees Fahrenheit at Crossett. Highs ranged from 55.6 degrees Fahrenheit at Kingston to 71.7 degrees Fahrenheit at Crossett. Moderate to heavy precipitation was received throughout the state, with the highest concentration occurring in the southwest part of the state with an average of 2.89 inches.
