San Angelo livestock auction report

The San Angelo Producers Livestock Auction Co., Report, San Angelo, Texas, reported receipts of 1,978 head selling on Nov. 15, compared to 1,647 head a week ago and 2,235 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to a week ago, steer and heifer calves and yearlings were selling $2 to $6 lower. Slaughter cows were selling $1 to $2 higher, slaughter bulls were selling $2 to $3 higher. Stock cows and pairs were selling steady. Trading and demand were only moderate at best. The supply included 5% slaughter cows, 1% slaughter bulls, 89% feeders, 5% stock cows and pairs. The feeders included 60% steers and bulls, 50% weighed over 600 pounds. Producers Livestock Auction will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.
