Winter conditions persist (WY)
Wyoming experienced above normal temperatures for the week ending Nov. 25, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, Mountain Regional Field Office, Wyoming. Eighteen of the 34 reporting stations reported above average temperatures for the week. The high temperature of 61 degrees was recorded at Big Horn and a low of 2 degrees below zero was recorded at Yellowstone. Above normal moisture was reported at 16 of the 34 reporting stations. Five stations reported no moisture. Windy Peaks reported the most moisture with 0.94 inches.
A reporter from north central Wyoming indicated that things look pretty good going into the winter. A reporter from western Wyoming stated that they have snow on the ground and winter is here. A reporter from southeastern Wyoming reported that winter conditions persist with 2 inches of snow cover. Another reporter from southeastern Wyoming noted that they still had snow from the previous weekend and they got more snow and some rain on Saturday. They also indicated that some corn still remains to be harvested but the majority is in the bin or at the warehouse.
