The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Nebraska, reported receipts of 4,935 head selling Dec. 20, compared to 5,190 head a week ago, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.

Compared to a week ago, steers under 600 pounds were selling steady to $4 higher, over 600 pounds were selling $2 to $4 lower. Heifers were selling $3 to $6 higher. Steers accounted for 71% and heifers 29% of the offering. Weights over 600 pounds was 68% of the offering. Demand was good on a good selection offered.
