Cash bids mixed

Grain Markets

Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly higher for wheat, corn, and sorghum, while soybeans were lower, according to USDA reported prices, Sept. 27.

For the week ending Sept. 22, a decrease of 90,056 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while a decrease of 262,151 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a decrease of 316,156 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 11,695 metric tons.

Ethanol production for the week ending Sept. 16, was lower at 901,000 barrels a day.

Wheat was up 13 3/4 cents. Corn up 1 1/4 cents. Sorghum was up 1 1/4 cents. Soybeans were down 3 1/4 to 63 1/4 cents.

In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $9.43 1/4.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $10.19 1/4, up 13 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $11.18 1/4, change unavailable; Portland, $9.20 to $9.60, unchanged; St. Louis, $8.31 1/2 to $8.61 1/2, up 33 1/2 to 13 1/2 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $7.02 1/2, up 1 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.22 1/2 to $6.57 1/2, up 1 1/4 to 11 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $6.22 1/2 to $6.43 1/2, down 13 3/4 to up 1 1/4cents; Omaha, $6.63 1/2 to $6.87 1/2, up 1 1/4 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $13.98 to $14.93, up down 3 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $13.68 to $13.73, down 3 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $14.13 to $14.28, down 8 1/4 to 1 3/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $14.18 to $14.38, down 3 1/4 to 63 1/4 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Sept. 20, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $10.93 1/4 to $11.03 1/4, up 13 3/4 cents; 12% protein, $10.85 1/4 to $10.95 1/4, up 13 3/4 cents; 13% protein, $10.75 1/4 to $10.85 1/4, up 13 3/4 cents; 14% protein, $10.75 1/4 to $10.85 1/4, up 13 3/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
