Harvesting sesame in Oklahoma

After an October ice storm hit much of the heartland, many sesame fields went from prime crops to poor quality with the low temperatures multiple nights in a row and iced over stems. Although still harvestable, much of the crops were laid over with the weight of the ice, making them more difficult to harvest with a combine.
