Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales report

The Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt, Kansas, Sept. 27, reported estimated receipts of 3,000 head selling as of 3 p.m., according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City, Kansas.

Compared to a week ago, feeder steers 800 to 850 pounds were selling $5 to $8 higher. A higher undertone was noted on all other comparable weights. There were very few offering of feeder heifers. The feeder supply was 66% steers, 34% heifers, with 93% over 600 pounds.

Steers: Medium and large frame 1 443 lbs., 185.00; 493 lbs., 182.00; 571 to 579 lbs., 171.50 to 174.50; 616 to 620 lbs., 165.00 to 167.50; 670 to 697 lbs., 160.00 to 168.00; 717 to 726 lbs., 161.25 to 163.50; Thin Fleshed 766 lbs., 166.50; 801 to 836 lbs., 155.75 to 161.75; 850 to 894 lbs., 152.50 to 159.75; 916 lbs., 155.35 to 158.50; 963 to 994 lbs., 139.75 to 148.75; fleshy 964 to 977 lbs., 130.50 to 138.85.

Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 701 to 747 lbs., 149.00 to 157.00; fleshy 741 lbs, 148.00; 750 to 777 lbs., 146.00 to 150.50; 800 to 836 lbs., 146.50 to 147.60; 870 lbs., 138.50 to 140.60; 925 lbs., 139.00; 958 to 994 lbs., 130.50 to 135.50.
