Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly mixed for wheat, corn, soybeans and sorghum, according to USDA reported prices, Oct. 4.
For the week ending Sept. 29, an increase of 112,050 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an increase of 283,807 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed an increase of 78,370 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported a decrease of 16,444 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending Sept. 23, was lower at 855,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was unchanged. Corn up 4 1/4 to 2 1/4 cents. Sorghum was up 2 1/4 cents. Soybeans were up 9 1/2 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $9.88 3/4.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $10.64 3/4, unchanged; Minneapolis, $11.63 3/4, unchanged; Portland, $9.30 to $9.55, unchanged; St. Louis, $7.53 to $8.88, down 9 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $7.17 to $7.18, up 2 1/4 to down 2 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.23 to $6.58, up 2 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $6.28 to $6.51, up 2 1/4 cents; Omaha, $6.79 to $7.05, up 2 1/4 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $13.83 1/2 to $14.33 1/2, up 9 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $13.38 1/2 to $13.58 1/2, up 14 1/2 to 4 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $13.06 1/2 to $13.38 1/2, up 2 1/2 to 9 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $13.73 1/2 to $14.03 1/2, up 9 1/2 cents.
