Ericson Livestock Auction report
The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 3,960 head selling on Jan. 6, compared to 3,140 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
This was the first reported feeder sale in a month so a trend is not applicable. Demand was good from the buyers within the large crowd in the seats. The calf and feeder supply included 68% steers and 32% heifers with nearly 75% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
