Tulsa livestock auction report
The Tulsa livestock auction report, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 1,856 head selling on March 19, compared to 2,337 head a week ago and 2,583 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steers were selling $7 to $10 lower. Heifers were selling $4 to $8 lower. Quality was mostly plain. Demand was moderate. Receipts included 21% over 600 pounds and 43% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $3 to $5 lower. Slaughter bulls were selling $2 to $4 lower. A total of 219 cows and bulls sold with 21% going to packers.
