The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 3,747 head selling on March 22, compared to 9,021 head a week ago and 5,450 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, feeder steers 600 to 750 pounds were selling steady to $2 lower, heavier weights were selling $2 to $5 lower. Feeder heifers were selling $1 to $3 lower. Steer and heifer calves were trading steady. Fill was average, few full. Demand was moderate for feeders, good for calves. The supply included 76% over 600 pounds with 50% heifers.
