Topsoil moisture supplies rated 6 percent very short, 25 short, 64 adequate, and 5 surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 9 percent very short, 33 short, 56 adequate, and 2 surplus.
Winter wheat condition rated 15 percent very poor, 31 poor, 38 fair, 14 good, and 2 excellent. Winter wheat coloring was 98 percent. Mature was 85 percent, near 82 last year. Harvested was 52 percent, ahead of 44 last year, and well ahead of 32 for the five-year average.
Corn condition rated 4 percent very poor, 9 poor, 32 fair, 48 good, and 7 excellent. Corn silking was 13 percent, ahead of 7 last year and 8 average.
Soybean condition rated 1 percent very poor, 8 poor, 39 fair, 47 good, and 5 excellent. Soybeans planted was 97 percent, near 94 last year, and ahead of 89 average. Emerged was 91 percent, ahead of 85 last year and 78 average. Blooming was 7 percent, near 4 last year, and ahead of 1 average.
Sorghum condition rated 2 percent very poor, 4 poor, 31 fair, 58 good, and 5 excellent. Sorghum planted was 95 percent, ahead of 90 last year and 88 average. Headed was 4 percent, near 2 average.
