The Tulsa livestock auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 2,250 head selling on June 26, compared to 1,958 head a week ago and 2,204 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steers were selling mostly steady to $2 higher. Heifers were selling mostly steady. Quality was good. Demand was good. Receipts included 22% over 600 pounds and 38% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling steady to $1 higher. Slaughter bulls were selling $4 to $6 higher. A total of 404 cows and bulls sold with 83% going to packers.
