Tulsa feeder cattle auction report
The Tulsa livestock auction report, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 1,597 head selling on July 2, compared to 2,250 head a week ago, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steers were selling $3 to $5 higher. Heifers were selling $4 to $6 higher. Demand was good. Quality was average. Receipts included 20% over 600 pounds and 44% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $1 to $3 lower. Slaughter bulls were selling $3 lower. A total of 254 cows and bulls sold with 81% going to packers.
