Cash bids lower for wheat, corn, soybeans, sorghum
Compared to July 10, cash bids for wheat, corn, and soybeans and sorghum were lower, according to the National Grain Market Summary, July 11.
Grains were pressured by dry conditions across the Corn Belt, as well as the $200 billion worth of tariffs U.S. has proposed against China recently.
Corn was 4 3/4 to 7 3/4 cents lower. Wheat was 10 to 24 cents lower. Soybeans were 20 3/4 to 22 3/4 lower. Sorghum was 13 1/4 cents lower.
In the futures close, Kansas City September wheat was $4.74, down 20 3/4 cents.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $5.04, down 20 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $5.65, down 12 cents; Portland, $5.80 to $6.08, down 10 cents to unchanged; St. Louis, $4.78 to $4.96, down 24 to 21 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.43, down 7 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $2.96, down 4 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $3.11 to $3.18, down 7 3/4 to 4 3/4 cents; Omaha, $3.21 to $3.24, down 6 to 5 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $8.23 to $8.28, down 22 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $7.86, down 20 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $8.08 to $8.15, down 22 3/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $8.21 to $8.49, down 20 3/4 cents.
Kansas City wheat prices July 11, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $5.51 to $5.66, down 20 3/4 cents; 12% protein, $6.16 to $6.31, down 20 3/4 cents; 13% protein, $6.37 to $6.52, down 20 3/4 cents; 14% protein, $6.41 to $6.56, down 20 3/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was $3.40 to $3.48, down 14 1/4 to 16 cents.
