Tulsa Livestock Auction report
The Tulsa Livestock Auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 3,391 head selling on Sept. 10, compared to 2,258 head selling on Aug. 27 and 3,222 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to the Aug. 27 sale, steers and heifers were selling $3 to $5 higher. Quality was good. Demand was good. The offering included 17% of the receipt totals feeder cattle over 600 pounds, with 43% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $4 to $6 lower. Slaughter bulls were selling steady. A total of 380 cows and bulls sold with 68% going to packers.
