Ericson Livestock Auction report

The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 3,418 head selling on Nov. 10, compared to 2,568 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.

Compared to a week ago, steer calves 400 to 650 pounds were selling $4 to $5 lower, heifer calves 400 to 550 pounds were selling steady and heifer calves 550 to 650 pounds were selling $4 lower. Demand was moderate to good from the buyers in the crowd. The calf and feeder supply included 65% steers and 35% heifers with near 20% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
