Ericson Livestock Auction report
The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 2,975 head selling on Feb. 3, compared to 3,500 head a week ago and 2,720 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to a week ago, steers and heifers under 600 pounds were selling $4 to $10 higher and heifers over 600 pounds were selling steady to $3 higher, steers 600 to 700 pounds were selling $3 lower. Demand was good from the buyers in the crowd. The calf and feeder supply included 57% steers and 43% heifers with 65% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
