3i SHOW – 70th anniversary celebration set for March 12 to 14

3i Show

The Western Kansas Manufacturers Association is proud to present the 70th annual 3i SHOW March 12 to 14.  An agri-business showcase that initially began in 1954 as a traveling show across western Kansas where multiple communities came together to see the latest in farm equipment and services available for farmers and ranchers.

Eventually the show rotated between Garden City and Great Bend for 32 years and in 2012 officially made its permanent home at the Western State Bank Expo, centrally located in Dodge City.

Mobile Dairy Classroom

A new feature for 2024 is the addition of the Mobile Dairy Classroom, which is designed to teach youth about the dairy industry and offers a traveling milk parlor with a live cow and oral presentation.

The Mobile Dairy Classroom is presented by the SouthWest and SouthLand Dairy Farmers, which is an alliance of dairy farmers from Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Oklahoma, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

Producers have pooled their resources to offer consumer education in nutrition, to promote daily product use and provide dairy product information.  During 2019, the mobile classrooms made presentations to more than 675,000 people at fairs, festivals, livestock shows and school settings.

Other new attractions

An added addition to the 3i SHOW is Hummingbyrd Drones based in Osborne, Kansas. You can visit with them in spaces I-267 and I-269. Be sure to catch one of their demonstrations.

Home businesses are welcome again this year at the table space price of 8 feet at $50.00.  If you have a home business such as Pampered Chef, Scentsy, homemade canned goods or anything along those lines we make it affordable for you to showcase your products at reasonable prices.  Contact the 3i SHOW at 620-227-8082 for more information.

Jobseekers can come and visit the booth to discuss ways to get the necessary skills to be a viable candidate.  There will be an interview room at the show.

The 3i SHOW festivities will kick off with the annual opening ceremonies to honor and recognize our veterans.  The soldiers from Fort Dodge will be on hand as well as our local American Legion Post No. 47 who will provide a 21-gun salute.  WKMA along with the Dodge City Chamber of Commerce invite people to attend as the chamber is a major sponsor of the opening ceremonies.

Additional events are in the planning stages and information will be released when details become finalized.  The 3i SHOW’s hours  are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 12 and 13, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 14.

Parking and admission are both free. Come out and see what is new in the agriculture industry and support our exhibitors and celebrate 70 years of the 3i SHOW.
