Ericson Livestock Auction report

The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 4,794 head selling on Nov. 24, compared to 4,472 head a week ago and 4,552 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.

Compared to a week ago, steers and heifers were selling steady to $9 higher. Demand was good from the buyers in the crowd with internet activity noticed. The calf and feeder supply included 63% steers and 37% heifers with near 37% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
