The summary of livestock auctions in Georgia for the week ending May 3, totaled 8,876 head selling, compared to 7,656 head a week ago, according to the USDA-Georgia Department of Agriculture Market News, Thomasville, Georgia.

Compared to a week ago, slaughter cows were selling steady to $3 lower, bulls were trading steady to $1 lower. Feeder classes over 600 pounds were selling steady to $4 lower, under 600 pounds were selling mostly $2 to $4 lower. Replacement cows were trading unevenly steady. The supply included: 79% feeder cattle (15% steers, 45% heifers, 40% bulls); 15% slaughter cattle (86% cows, 14% Bulls); 6% replacement cattle (59% bred cows, 41% cow to calf pairs). The feeder cattle supply over 600 pounds was 12%.
