Cash bids higher for the week
Compared to last week, cash bids for corn, sorghum, soybeans and wheat were higher according to USDA reported prices, Dec. 15.
For the week ending Dec. 10, a increase of 133,933 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an decrease of 216,790 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a decrease of 275,717 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 124,381 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending Dec. 4, reported a slight increase at 991,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was up 20 to down 8 cents. Corn was up 3/4 cents. Sorghum was up 3/4 cents. Soybeans were up 14 3/4 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City March wheat was $5.66.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $5.91, up 3 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.71 to $6.76, up 3 3/4 cents; Portland, $6.40 to $6.70, up 20 to down 8 cents; St. Louis, $6.24 3/4 to $6.29 3/4, up 3 1/4 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $4.19 3/4 to $4.28 3/4, up 3/4 cent; Minneapolis, $3.69 3/4 to $4.13 3/4, up 1/4 to 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $4.10 3/4 to $4.37 3/4, up 3/4 to 1/2 cents; Omaha, $3.92 3/4 to $4.02 3/4, up 3/4 cent.

Kansas City wheat prices Dec. 15, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $6.56 to $6.66, up 3 3/4 cents; 12% protein, $7.16 to $7.26, up 3 3/4 cents; 13% protein, $7.11 to $7.21, up 7 3/4; 14% protein, $7.11 to $7.21, up 3 3/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
