Cash bids mixed

Compared to last week, cash bids for were mixed for corn, soybeans, wheat and sorghum, according to USDA reported prices, June 8.

For the week ending June 3, a decrease of 691,290 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an increase of 42,977 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed an increase of 158,259 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported a decrease of 236,739 metric tons.

Ethanol production for the week ending May 28, had an increase at 1,034,000 barrels a day.

Wheat was unchanged to up 25 1/2 cents.  Corn was down 4 1/4 to up 3/4 cents.  Sorghum was up 3/4 cents.  Soybeans were up 16 3/4 to 4 3/4 cents.

In the futures close, Kansas City July wheat was $6.32 1/2.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $6.42 1/2 to $6.82 1/2, up 2 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $7.17 1/2 to $7.22 1/2, up 25 1/2 cents; Portland, $7.75 to $8.50, unchanged to up 5 1/2 cents; St. Louis, $6.97 to $7, up 1/2 cent.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $7.05, up 1/4 to down 4 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $5.87 1/2 to $6.79, up 7 to down 1 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $5.97 1/2 to $6.97, down 7 1/4 to up 6 3/4 cents; Omaha, $6.56 to $6.72, up 3/4 cent.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $15.69 1/2 to $15.84 1/2, up 17 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $14.29 to $15.60, up 12 1/4 to 19 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $14.34 to $15.84, up 16 3/4 to 17 3/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $15.67 to $16.20, up 16 3/4 to 4 3/4 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices June 8, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $7.47 1/2 to $7.57 1/2, up 2 1/2 cents; 12% protein, $7.72 1/2 to $7.82 1/2, up 2 1/2 cents; 13% protein, $7.77 1/2 to $7.87 1/2, down 7 1/2 cents; 14% protein, $7.77 1/2 to $7.87 1/2, down 7 1/2 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
