Cash bids mostly mixed

Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly mixed for wheat, corn, sorghum and soybeans according to USDA reported prices, Nov. 2.

For the week ending Nov. 4, a decrease of 107,922 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an increase of 39,358 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed an increase of 101,133 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported a decrease of 69,410 metric tons.

Ethanol production for the week ending Oct. 29, had an increase at 1,107,000 barrels a day.

Wheat was up 12 3/4 cents to unchanged. Corn was up 3 1/4 cents. Sorghum was up 3 1/4 cents. Soybeans were up 23 1/2 cents.

In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $7.93 1/2.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, unavailable; Minneapolis, unavailable; Portland, $10.25 to $11.50, unchanged; St. Louis, unavailable.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $5.64 3/4 to $5.74 3/4, up 3 1/4 to 8 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $5.35 3/4 to $5.45 3/4, up 3 1/4 to 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $5.20 3/4 to $5.34 3/4, up 3 1/4 to 2 3/4 cents; Omaha, $5.18 3/4 to $5.33 3/4, up 3 1/4 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $12.12 to $12.32, up 23 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $11.82 to $11.89, up 23 1/2 to 25 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $11.80 to $11.89, up 21 1/2 to 19 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $12.08 to $12.27, up 23 1/2 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Nov. 9, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $9.24 1/2 to $9.34 1/2, up 12 3/4 cents; 12% protein, $10.03 1/2 to $10.13 1/2, up 12 3/4 cents; 13% protein, $10.80 1/2 to $10.18 1/2, up 12 3/4 cents; 14% protein, $10.08 1/2 to $10.18 1/2, up 12 3/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
