Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly mixed for wheat, corn, soybeans and sorghum, according to USDA reported prices, Oct. 11.
For the week ending Oct. 6, a decrease of 197,469 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an increase of 383,941 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a decrease of 53,206 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 15,134 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending Sept. 30, was slightly higher at 889,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was unchanged to down 33 1/2 cents. Corn up 7 3/4 to 9 3/4 cents. Sorghum was down 5 1/4 cents. Soybeans were down 3/4 cent.
In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $9.90 3/4.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $10.55 3/4, up 22 cents; Minneapolis, $11.03 3/4, change unavailable; Portland, $9.15 to $9.40, unchanged to down 20 cents; St. Louis, $7.51 to $8.81, up 20 3/4 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $7.28, up 14 3/4 to 9 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.03 to $6.73, down 5 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $6.38 to $6.61, down 5 1/4 cents; Omaha, $6.89 to $7.18, up 9 3/4 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $13.76 1/4 to $14.26 1/4, up 9 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $13.11 1/4 to $13.51 1/4, up 2 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $12.86 1/4 to $13.26 1/4, down 2 3/4 to 2 1/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $13.51 1/4 to $13.76 1/4, down 3/4 cents.
Kansas City wheat prices Oct. 11, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $11.45 3/4 to $11.55 3/4, up 17 cents; 12% protein, $11.35 3/4 to $11.45 3/4, up 2 cents; 13% protein, $11.25 3/4 to $11.35 3/4, up 22 cents; 14% protein, $11.25 3/4 to $11.35 3/4, unchanged. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
