Tallow Balm: The original body butter

Alright sourdough fans, there’s another viral trend to try out and this one is for your skin. Beef tallow balm. Tallow has been used as a natural skincare for centuries, known for its ability to moisturize and soothe skin.

But here lately it’s gained popularity on social media. Tallow is a beef fat, that’s been purified and cleaned. It comes from the hard fatty tissues that surround organ meats. So why is it becoming so popular? Here’s a look at some of the benefits.

Rich in nutrients: It’s loaded with Vitamins A, D, E & K, all which play an important role in skin rejuvenation.

Soothes skin conditions: It’s anti—inflammatory properties help calm irritated skin and can provide relief for those who suffer with eczema and psoriasis.

Hydration: Beef tallow restores and strengthens our skin’s natural protective barrier. The lipid composition keeps the moisture in, preventing dryness.

Anti-aging properties: The fatty acids found in tallow may have anti-aging effects and enhance skin elasticity, giving it a firmer, more youthful appearance.
