Cash bids mostly higher
Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly higher for wheat, corn, sorghum and soybeans according to USDA reported prices, Feb. 22.
For the week ending Feb. 17, an increase of 120,973 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an decrease of 185,218 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed an increase of 80,029 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 75,325 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending Feb. 11, had a slight increase at 1,009,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was up 46 1/2 cents to unchanged. Corn up 20 1/2 cents. Sorghum was up 20 1/2 cents. Soybeans were up 33 1/2 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City March wheat was $8.81 3/4.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $8.91 3/4 to $9.09 3/4, up 46 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $10.87, change unavailable; Portland, $10.50 to $11, unchanged; St. Louis, $8.38 1/4 to $8.59 1/4, up 47 1/4 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $6.79 3/4 to $6.84 3/4, up 2 cents; Minneapolis, $6.34 3/4 to $6.52 3/4, up 20 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $6.54 3/4 to $6.66 3/4, up 20 1/2 cents; Omaha, $6.36 3/4 to $6.56 3/4, up 20 1/2 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $16.20 to $16.35, up 33 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $15.95 to 16, up 33 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $16.10 to $16.17, up 33 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $16.35 to $16.45, up 33 1/2 cents.
