Ericson Livestock Auction report
The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 4,150 head selling on Jan. 13, compared to 3,960 head a week ago and 4,500 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to a week ago, steers were selling steady to $5 lower and heifers were selling mostly steady to $3 lower. Demand was moderate to good from the buyers in the crowd with some internet activity noticed. The calf and feeder supply included 56% steers and 44% heifers with nearly 68% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
