Nebraska Wheat Board announces February meeting

The Nebraska Wheat Board will hold its next meeting Feb. 19 at the Eastern Nebraska Research Center, 1071 County Road G, Ithaca, Nebraska. The meeting will begin at 12 p.m. CST and adjourn at 5 p.m. It will include a first reading of all fiscal year 2018-2019 funding proposals, reports from NWB board members, contractor reports and a review of upcoming events and travel. Guest speakers will include Amanda Ramer-Tait, an assistant professor of immunology and microbiology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Mark Wilkins, director of the Industrial Agricultural Products Center; and Nancy Johner, executive director of the Nebraska Farm Service Agency. The public is welcome to attend any open portion of the meeting. Interested individuals may contact the NWB office for a copy of the agenda or for more information.

The Nebraska Wheat Board administers the check-off of 0.4 percent of net value of wheat marketed in Nebraska at the point of first sale. The board invests the funds in programs of international and domestic market development and improvement, policy development, research, promotion, and education.
