Western Kansas Manufacturers Association is presenting an archery shoot hosted by the Prairie Bowman Archery Club on March 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Attendees of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in the archery shoot located inside the arena on the dirt floor side of the Western State Bank Expo Center. This is a free event available for all attending the 64th Annual 3i SHOW, being held March 22 to 24 at the Western State Bank Expo Center in Dodge City, Kansas.
All ages and classes will be shooting together and a number of experienced archers will be on hand to ensure safe shooting is practiced for everybody’s safety. There will be bag targets available that are free to shoot. Inexperienced archers will be placed closer to the bags when shooting so hitting the target will be easier. For more experienced archers, they have the option of paying $10 for 10 large size targets. As an extra safety precaution, there will be plywood backing to ensure that arrows that miss will be stopped. Bows and equipment will be provided for those that don’t have their own.
The Prairie Bowman Archery Club hosts monthly 3D shoots involving 40 targets, two rounds of 20, of life size targets. The shoots are held once a month and go from early April to September. The archery club hopes to increase local involvement with the club and to get more kids and adults to enjoy the outdoors.
