High Plains direct slaughter cattle sales report

High Plains weekly weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending on Feb. 11, totaled 66,379 head, compared to 77,217 head last week and 82,387 head last year, according to the USDA Livestock, Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.

The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.

Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 13,466 head, 1,275 to 1,600 lbs., 125.00 to 129.50 (126.18); 65 to 80% Choice, 8,274 head, 1,275 to 1,565 lbs., 125.00 to 126.75 (126.20); 35 to 65% Choice, 2,391 head, 1,250 to 1,500 lbs., 125.00 to 126.00 (125.83). Dressed delivered basis, over 80% Choice, 6,564 head, 806 to 1,035 lbs., 196.00 to 203.00 (200.45); 65 to 80% Choice, 2,740 head, 838 to 945 lbs., 200.00; 35 to 65% Choice, 316 head, 848 to 882 lbs., 200.00.
