Missouri State University’s Small Business & Technology Development Center in conjunction with Arvest Bank and a panel of experts from the fields of accounting, information technology, banking, insurance and computer recycling will present a “Cybersecurity: Protecting Your Business from Fraud!” program from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 28 at the SBDTC, 405 N. Jefferson, Springfield.
Participants can attend for a reduced fee of $39 thanks to a sponsorship fee from Arvest Bank. The $39 fee includes lunch.
Small business owners will learn actions they can take to lessen the risk of their business being hacked or compromised by a cybersecurity incident. The goal of the seminar is to protect your organization’s confidential data from cyber and internet criminals. This session focuses on a widespread form of targeted fraud impacting small to medium-sized businesses, non-profits, schools and public sector entities utilizing today’s technology.
