The Kansas Department of Agriculture is presenting the Kansas Dairy Industry Conference on May 10 in the Grandstand Meeting Room on the fairgrounds in Garden City.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the conference is expected to adjourn at 3 p.m. Registration is required by May 3 and can be done online by visiting https://fs22.formsite.com/KansasDeptAg/2018-KS-Dairy-Conf/index.html.
As part of the conference, Sandy Johnson and David Hogg from Kansas Department of Agriculture will be on hand to talk about what we have learned from the annual Emergency Preparedness Exercises.
Also on the agenda for discussion are the economic impacts in the dairy industry, animal care and farm practices in addition to an update on the Kansas Water Plan.
Plenty of open discussion time has been scheduled including a question and answer session.
