New Mexico State University’s College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences’ Roundtable discussion is coming to northern New Mexico.
NMSU’s Range and Livestock Research Station in Corona, New Mexico, is sponsoring “Let’s Talk! Breakfast in Abiquiu!” where livestock producers will hear updates on the ACES High calf program, cow/calf reproduction techniques, culling and marketing.
The free event will be from 8 a.m. to noon April 25 at the Rio Arriba Rural Event Center, 122A State Highway 554 in Abiquiu.
“These events have been held elsewhere in New Mexico. We are looking forward to having it here in northern New Mexico for our producers,” said Donald Martinez, agricultural agent with NMSU’s Cooperative Extension Service in Rio Arriba County.
“The roundtable discussion following breakfast prepared by Pretty Tough Cowbelles will give our producers an opportunity to ask questions about issues they are facing.”
Among the NMSU faculty members planning to be on hand are Eric Scholljegerdes, Department of Animal and Range Sciences; Marcy Ward, Extension livestock specialist; and Craig Gifford, Extension beef cattle specialist.
