Montana’s Gianforte named subcommittee chairman

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy announced Rep. Greg Gianforte will serve as the committee’s Interior, Energy, and Environment Subcommittee Chairman. “I am pleased to announce Rep. Gianforte will serve as the committee’s IEE Subcommittee Chairman. Representing the great state of Montana, Rep. Gianforte understands firsthand the importance of our Interior Subcommittee,” Gowdy said. “I look forward to working with him as we continue to carry out much needed reforms.” With oversight of activity including food and drug safety, energy policy, public lands, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of the Interior, Gianforte will face a variety of issues important to both his home state and the American Sheep Industry Association. “We look forward to working with Rep. Gianforte on issues that are crucial to our industry,” said ASI President Mike Corn.
