Russell livestock auction report

The Russell livestock auction report, Russell, Iowa, reported receipts of 1,321 head selling on June 18, compared to 1,297 head last year, according to the USDA-Iowa Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Des Moines, Iowa.

There was no comparison due to sale not being reported for three weeks. Trade was active and demand good. Receipts this week included 53% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 62% of the feeders were steers and 38% were heifers.
