Webinar on ram breeding soundness scheduled for July 24
The first Let’s Grow-supported webinar of 2018—Ram Breeding Soundness—will take place on July 24 at 8 p.m. EST. Presenters for the webinar will include Colorado State University Professor Emeritus Dr. Cleon Kimberling and Optimal Livestock Services’ Geri Parsons. As usual, Jay Parsons of Optimal Ag Consulting will host the webinar.
Why test your rams for breeding soundness? A breeding soundness examination is an overall assessment of the ram’s potential ability to service and impregnate a given number of ewes during a given period of time. This webinar will cover what good breeding soundness means and the impact it can have on a producer’s bottom line results.

Bret Taylor with the U.S. Sheep Experiment Station will present on Increasing Production through Improved Lamb Health on Sept. 18. Additional webinars are still in the works for later in the year, and details will be announced as they become available.
The webinars are made possible by a grant through the American Sheep Industry Association’s Let’s Grow Program. For more information on Let’s Grow, visit www.growourflock.org.
