The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 3,709 head selling on July 26, compared to 4,404 head a week ago and 4,000 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, feeder steers were selling steady to $2 higher mainly on the heavier weights, 600 and 850 pound steers were selling $1 to $1.50 lower. Feeder heifers were selling steady to $2 higher on a limited test. Steer and heifer calves were selling steady. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average with few full. The supply included 84% over 600 pounds with 20% heifers.
