Register now for Kansas Governor’s Summit on Agricultural Growth

The Kansas Department of Agriculture is looking forward to hosting the third annual Kansas Governor’s Summit on Agricultural Growth on Aug. 23 at the Manhattan Conference Center. The Summit hosts Kansas farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses and invites them to work together in a collaborative setting to discuss growing agriculture in Kansas. Please join us and agriculture leaders from across the state as we share ideas about how farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses can work together to expand opportunities for Kansas agriculture. A social event will be held the evening of Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Stanley Stout Center.

We are currently finalizing the optional afternoon breakout sessions. Hot topics include rural broadband, trade, traceability, rural veterinarian care, water and workforce. Please complete the registration form by Aug. 10 to guarantee your meals at the social and Summit at https://fs22.formsite.com/KansasDeptAg/AgGrowthSummit18/index.html.

If you still need a hotel room, the Hilton Garden Inn is sold out. Hotels within walking distance of the Summit include the Fairfield Inn Manhattan, Candlewood Suites and Holiday Inn Express & Suites. For a detailed schedule and more information on the project, go to agriculture.ks.gov/summit.
