No precipitation reported at most stations
Wyoming experienced above normal temperatures for the week ending Sept. 16, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, Mountain Regional Field Office, Wyoming. Thirty-one of the 33 reporting stations reported above normal temperatures for the week with a high temperature of 97 degrees recorded at Lance Creek and a low of 27 degrees recorded at Jackson Hole and Yellowstone. Below normal moisture was reported at all 34 reporting stations. Thirty-three reporting stations had no precipitation. Wheatland reported the only moisture with 0.01 inches. A reporter from western Wyoming noted that dry conditions continued throughout the week with at or near freezing temperatures at night. A reporter from south central Wyoming indicated that conditions have been extremely hot and dry with stock water becoming a major problem.
